Elisha Breningstall is a twenty-year-old Observant Jew living in Israel. He grew up in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota, and attended Yeshiva High School in Skokie, Illinois. While in high school, he went on a summer leadership program to Poland for a week, followed by Israel for a month. At that point he began an exhaustive amount of research in his free time on both the Holocaust and Israeli history. It was this that led him to the path he leads now, living in Israel and soon serving in the Israeli Defense Forces. Elisha studied in Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh from 2007-2008. In 2008 he was also the Volunteer Coordinator for the Doresh Tov Sderot Community Organization, leading tours of volunteers to Sderot once a month. Elisha is currently attending a Mechina, a joint Yeshiva and army preparation program, in the Golan Heights and will enlist in the Israeli Defense Forces in July. There he has no internet access and it is very difficult for him to write.
